Following on from our recent Hero Quest adventure (Click Here!). We tasked the guys with heading over to heroforge.com and creating their characters. We also asked them for some bullet points on their characters to allow us to create some backstory for each of them. Below is what followed. I’m sorry in advance.
Tom – Cyril – The Wizard.
Cyril was a terrible children’s party magician. He became struck by a horrendous terminal disease. He embarked on a final pilgrimage to find an artefact that he thought could save him. What he found did more than save him. It transferred his consciousness, his very soul, into his robot butler. Thus becoming the first known Robot Wizard of the realm of Redbournia.
Mark – Moukey Mice – The Barbarian.
Hailed as the greatest gladiatorial champion of the new rodent era. Abandoned at birth in the labyrinth sewers of New Cheviot City, he was enslaved and forced to work the fight pits by the ferocious Rat King. As he grew in strength, his power out matched all who were unlucky enough to meet him in combat. Finally escaping the Cheddar Colosseum in the Great Rat Rebellion of 237BR, He alone claimed the head of the Rat King. Now an old man, he wonders the city as a sell sword, willing to help any adventurer, should they be able to afford him.
Dan – Themy Mc Themface – I have no idea what it is.
Deep in the putrid swamps of the plague ridden Greenwoods. This creature was spawned from the Brood Mother herself. Lost as a spawn during the great floods, It was found and kept alive in a jar of pickle water by a local bar keep. Fed only on pork scratchings and drunken shame, Themy McThemface evolved into a giant humanoid Toad. When the barkeep was killed in a raid by the local Goblins, Themy McThemface took arms, and vowed to get vengeance for his adoptive father.
Rob – Bear – Hunter (I felt left out, so made my own character).
When born into a Native Albion settlement, the young ones must take the Trial of Nature, to be allowed to bare their native polearms in battle. They must drink from the spring under the shade of the Great Tree ‘Verulamia’, said to be inhabited by the Goddess of the Wild. When Bear reached the roots of the tree, he came to find the spring filled with the dark blood of his kin. The Lycanthropic curse had finally made its way to Albion. Granted the power to commune with nature itself, for an age, he hunted the werewolves throughout all of the lands of Albion. Finally destroying their last stronghold in the ruins of Adeyfildoria. Now weathered and old. He spends his last days in the forests of his birth, as the last protector of Verulamia.
